Copy Relational Object Graph
Comparenicus allows handling of an object 'relational' graph.
For example, a specific 'Customer' and its related entities (Accounts,
Bills, Orders, etc.) which are logically grouped by the application may
be copied from source to target, in a single click.
This feature is extremely helpful in scenarios where you need to only
copy the relevant data from a large production database to a test
database to reproduce a problem. By copying
only
the relevant
records you save both time and disk space.
[Available in the Professional Edition only.]
Step 7: Set Initial Record Filter
The start-up table must have a filter (WHERE clause) in order to
determine the 'root' entities to be copied.
Note: The filter should restrict the 'root' entity to one record or no
more than a few records.
You can also add filters to other tables in the hierarchy. A typical
example might be to retrieve only 'open' Orders of a specific
Customer.
